Life....
Since I've visited, I am now:
Graduated from University
Married
Working Full Time
Riding the bus about 3.5 - 4 hours/day (to get to work and home from work)
Helping to pay for my husband's school...
Excited for my brother who will be graduating at the end of this semester
Excited for another brother who has a girlfriend
Trying to learn how to speak Cantonese
I've also had the best day and the worst day of my life.
Best day: Marriage. June 30.
Worst day: Birthday. August 9. I accidentally deleted my journal (I was keeping it in a word document) and erased it from my computer. I tried a lot of ways to recover. It's just not happening.
The good part: I had a copy until February.
The bad part: Most of the really good stuff is lost. Like student teaching days, graduation, entries about my awesome fiance/husband, wedding, honeymoon, the excitement of getting a job, my thoughts about my class.
I don't really even know how many times I have cried over it.
But I want to say, my husband has been really supportive through that.
It took me about two months to start writing in my journal again. Maybe more. And it still kind of hurts sometimes. But I'm finally not obsessing about it in my thoughts anymore.
I just had fall break from school. That's been nice. 6 school days off. I start again tomorrow. It kind of stinks, but I've enjoyed it. Just relaxing, and doing lots of good things.
Life is a nightmare. Life is a perfect dream. Life is everything in between.
(No, that was not meant to sound cheesy. It really was true.)

"Learn to Laugh"
Today I woke up at 9:24 AM. That's not necessarily bad, except for the part where my ward starts at 8:00 AM.
So, I went to my boyfriend's (Tommy) ward for church. It starts at 10:00, so that was good. I stayed the whole time, which was good. His ward is my previous ward, before I got put into another ward in April. I still know a lot of people in that ward, and I still miss it.
Relief Society was especially awesome. The president gave the lesson, since it was the 1st Sunday. The lesson was on Elder Wirthlin's talk, "Come What May, and Love It." First of all, I just needed that talk as a reminder, in general. But there's one part of the talk that reminds us we need to laugh. Learn to laugh when uncomfortable things happen sometimes. I needed that reminder because some frustrating things happened this week, and instead of letting it go and laughing about it, I got upset. I wouldn't have gotten that reminder if I had gone to my own ward, so I think it was sort of a blessing that I got to sleep in. Plus, I got extra sleep. :) (I'm not saying that I wouldn't have been edified in my own ward. The leaders there are inspired for me. I'm just acknowledging that something good came from that today.)
I'm really blessed in life, and I'm happy that I am.

Productivity
Productivity is the exact reason why there has not been a post on my blog in over a month. (Sorry, guys....the ones who care...which might mean no one.) However, it's a little bit sad that I'm more productive on a Saturday than I am on a Friday. Both days I don't have any class. I've been at the library for about 3 hours, and just finished all my work.
My lovely boyfriend is still doing his. : / He studies really hard, so I'm really proud of him and how hard he works all the time, in everything he does. He always puts in his best effort, and his best foot forward. He's cute, too.
Yesterday (Friday), I did homework for about an hour or two. Like I mentioned, I had the whole day free until I needed to work. I slept in yesterday, but not today. I think I have my days a little bit backward. But that's alright, because just as long as I get everything done, I'm okay.
Although I said I just finished my work, I didn't really. I always have more and more work that I can do. So I might motivate myself to do one or two more online quizzes. I have other homework to do, too, but I have to do it at home, because I have the supplies there....and not here.
So, CHEERS to productivity! It always makes me feel good! (Except for when I start to go crazy because my brain is fried.)

Laziness
I really do know how to get up in the morning. In fact, if I could find a way that I could go to bed by 10 PM every night, I'd be a seriously happy girl. (I'm already seriously happy anyway, but that's not the point). Okay, so this isn't even about going to bed...it's about waking up. For some reason, somehow, somewhere along the way, I decided that it would be a good habit to start to set three alarms for myself. Yes, three. Somehow, since that's how many alarms my cell phones have had the past 4 years, I got into that weird habit. It's not because I'm bad at waking up, either. It's because I like to "trick" myself. I will set 2 alarms for earlier than I need to wake up, and the third alarm is for when I really do need to get up. That way, I make myself think that I get to sleep longer, thus, the effect of sleeping in.
It's also the effect of laziness.
Now, I'm dependent on having three alarms because if I don't, then I'm afraid that maybe I'll forget when I wake up, turn off my alarm, and go back to sleep...but with bad consequences after. It's been bothering me for a while now that I use three alarms. Not beating me down, or anything, but just kind of annoying when I think about it.
Actually, I really should have more trust in myself. I usually know what's up more than I give myself credit for. A lot more... However, I've decided to ease into it, and wean myself of having three, going to one. That way, I won't forget. (Not that I would, anyway; like I said, I should give myself a lot more credit.) So, now I'm going to two alarms. I am not sure how long I will use just two (but it will be shorter than four years). I think maybe one or two months should do the trick. Then, I'll just try using one again! We'll see how it goes.
That's how to get rid of laziness in the morning.
Thought...maybe I'll just see how this week goes, and see if I'm able to do just one again! (I am sure I can.)

Family
My brother is now here with me, and it rocks. I got used to not having any family around (which, coming from a family of 9 people, can be a little strange), but I did well, and now he's here with me to share my fun moments and make his own. I'm so excited.
My friend Summer is going on a mission to Alaska. I'm so excited for her. She's going to do great. I told her that I'm going to send her a package, and she got really excited. Too bad she doesn't know that I'm just going to send her the tennis shoes she left with me....they won't fit me and I think she will need them for exercise and service projects. I might send her the hair dryer she left, too, if she needs it. Actually, though, I'm not a very mean person, so I'll probably send her something else with the shoes...like candy that you can't find on the mainland. Or something of that nature.
Happy 20th to my awesome "Kitty!" I love her! She's so amazing and awesome. I learn a lot from her, and we have SO much fun talking with each other. Really, she's amazing. I got her a stuffed animal...Marie, from "The Aristocats" (Disney movie) for her birthday. She loved it. I was so happy that I got her something good. I really like to give gifts, and I like them to be original, or at least thoughtful!
Today was a good day, and I'm happy to be here. I live in one of the most beautiful places in the world, and I probably live a life that a lot of people dream of. So, in reality, I shouldn't complain about anything. Sure, I have my troubles and problems too, but what better place to have them than in paradise?

Happy Days
Well, before anyone looks at my last posting and reads that I didn't know how to delete the 2 extra blogs...they've been deleted. I started dinking and tinkering around on blogger after I posted last night (doing several different things), and when I remembered I wanted to delete the two extra blogs, I looked, and found it fairly quickly. (It's under Settings, and then there's a blue link at the top.) Well, that was nice.
Tomorrow is my last final (I get to finish earlier than other folks!), so I was studying today. However, I got a really nice study break after about 20 minutes (not too long, I know), because Angelica (a former unit mate) was running errands over here today. She was planning on visiting me at some point, but then I got a text from her asking if I wanted to go get shrimp with them. "No pressure :p" she said. Two things: it's Angelica and it's shrimp! When combined, they're like the deadly duo! I would give up just about anything to see Angelica or help her out, and I've been having Angelica withdrawals lately, anyway! She told me she's been craving Kahuku shrimp for a while...the shrimp in town apparently has no competition with the stuff over here. Well, that makes two of us. Shrimp is very possibly my favorite food. Her friend was driving his truck, and so Gelica and I rode in the back and talked to each other, which was so awesome. The weather was really nice, too. Needless to say, we had a nice time! At least, I did. Plus, she has really funny friends, so I definitely laughed a lot! (Whenever I hang out with them, I feel like I want to marry a local.)
Tonight my ward is doing baptisms for the dead, so I took off work so that I can go. Going to the temple is usually the only thing I'll take work off for. I'm feeling so happy and carefree today, even though I have a final tomorrow morning! Anyway, I know going to the temple will provide me with blessings because I sacrificed my time to do the Lord's work, which leads me to believe that my performance this week will be better and more focused. That's been my past experience. ;) I'll study more after I get back from the temple, too. It's been a good day, and it's just going to get better!
I have high hopes that I'll get a 4.0 this term. (If I do, it may just raise my GPA enough to get another scholarship for fall. If not fall, then winter! Who couldn't use more money for school?) If I don't get a 4.0, it will be close. I'm really really hoping that I will. I know I'll get an A from my Global Skills class. I'm just not sure about Science Methods. It's riding between an A and an A-. It just depends on how well I do on my final, I believe. Anyway, I'm just saying in a really long way that I need to study more so that I can get a good grade on my final, to get a good grade in the class!

Technology
"I love technology! But not as much as you, you see. But I still love technology; always and forever." - Kip (Napolean Dynamite)
Well, I do love technology. Sometimes. I'm decent at using it, too. I'm not technology deficient, anyway. It definitely has a place in society. Plus, when Heavenly Father created the world, He included the Ionosphere in the atmosphere. The ionosphere, in short, allows for communication over long distances. Was that useful before the telegraph, telephone, or radio? Not really. Let's just say someone knew what He was doing. ;) Sometimes it's really the little things that baffle me.
Sometimes, I think technology is overused. Maybe it's dramatic, but one example I can think of is when people text and drive. Or use their cell phones at inappropriate times, period. I remember one time when I was in high school; we had to come up with an invention and give a speech about what it would do and why it should be sponsored. One girl said she wanted software for a phone that allowed you to speak what you want to text message someone. Sometimes I wonder, how, exactly, would speaking to your cell phone to send someone a message be easier to give them a phone call? (Technology has made some people less sincere, I fear.)
Anyway, I had to make 2 blogs for a Technology in Education class. That means I now have 3 blogs, 2 of which I NEVER use and I want to delete. The problem is, I'm not really sure how to delete the 2 that I made for class. I know I said I'm not technology deficient, but I also believe that sometimes things are made slightly complicated again, after technology is implemented.
Technology is great, it has blessed our lives, and now I believe that I'm going to go search for a way to delete 2 accounts and simplify my life. BALANCE!
That's all, folks.
